Found as a repeating motif in local artwork, it is believed the Chicken Vase is some type of religious object. It is theorized the vase may represent the cyclic nature of birth and evolution. There may be a sister vase to this vase, one that represents death. Unfortunately, no such object has been discovered, nor have there been any references in other artworks. No duplicates of the vase have been found to date.
